Unjailbreak or switch out hard drive

Which would be easier or more practical i am a single mom who likes my video games i have alot on my plate my roomie bought me 2 ps3 one doesnt get power and the other is jailbroke but i dont want it to be mind u i am somewhat like to know this stuff but have had no experience in this part please help me is it easier or better just to switch the hard drives or just unjailbreak it oh and i have no computer and the one doesnt turn on at all

Options

For the PS3s

- if you don't care about the data on the hard drives, it makes it easy

- if you don't want it jailbroken, you need to know that putting it back to normal is irreversible

- you will need to access a computer with Internet and a Thumb Drive

1) Download the latest system update and put it on a thumb drive in a specified here.

2a) If you don't care about the Ps3 being Jailbroken, and you don't care about the hard drive contents, simply insert the thumb drive in the PS3, and put the PS3 in Recovery mode. Use the menus to format the hard drive and reload the latest OS.

2b) If you care about the contents, first turn on the PS3, back up your game data and downloads to external drive formatted to FAT 32 via the PS3's USB ports. Follow the instructions in 2a.
