Spark plug fouling out with fouler attachment on. What's the issue?

Melts plastic tip at end of plug and also metal completely off, that's with the de-fouler attachment on. Within week have to keep changing plug. Only doing on 1 plug out of the 4. Just changed wires and its also melting very end of wire up,the end that connects with plug. What the most obvious things i can do or check that may cause this?? Cheapest ways to fix??

Is your vehicle burning oil in any of the cylinders, as that would be the only reason you would have the anti-foulers on there in the first place!

The most obvious thing is the anti fouling attachment. If yours is the PT Cruiser it is a modern engine and shouldn't need them, as it will set a code when there is an issue. Most likely your plugs are running to hot and or earthing out. Take off the anti fouling device and see what happens.

General rule of thumb is, if it smokes on start up, or when you plant your foot on the accelerator then it is usually valve stem seals. Basically not very expensive.

If it smokes on start up and while running, generally worn rings and gets expensive.

Black smoke: Fuel

Blue smoke: Oil

White smoke: either blown head gasket or extreme damage.

I have no smoke at all. I will try getting the fouler out it has got stuck in there and now instead of both plug and fouler coming out its just the plug itself but i never had any issues till the fouler was put in. Thank you for your suggestions i greatly appreciate it.

The fowler thats in there has came off the plug itself so now i have the issue of getting that out. I tried putting some gorilla glue on the threads and putting back in hoping it would glue itself(spark plug) to the fowler. I let it sit all night very next morning attempted to get out and again only the plug no fowler so im needing some advice on how or what to do to get out

You should be able to remove it by using a deep socket with extension, most likely a 5/8th or 16mm is it is metric, maybe spray a bit of WD40 or similar down there first to let it loosen up a bit. Let me know how you go.

It does not fit in the whole for a 5/8 or anything bigger to fit in the cylinder while to grab the fouler ! Any ideas
