LCD not registering touch after screen replacement

I recently replaced the glass of an iPad 3 and for whatever reason... I cannot get it to register touch input. I've checked the cables and the white lines on the LCD flex cables seem to be flush on the connectors. I have hard rebooted the iPad several times - no change. There is a slight dent in one of the corners and I didn't know if it needs to be 100% seated to register touch.

P.s. This is a clients tablet and I really cant do a hard reset on it.

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

was the screen tested before replacement? If yes and it worked remove it and send it back to the manufacturer/supplier if he accepts money back on returns or assurance that would be great. If you can talk to the supplier/manufacturer try and get a replacement. I don't find any other solution.

Also this might help it did my still don't know how or why. I had the same problem with the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 it didn't register touch input. All I did was connecting a converter from phone port and normal USB and plugged mouse slid left and right and just like that it worked (i just wanted to copy files to an SD card so I don't lose files if something goes wrong). Just happy it worked "happened last week"

the screen did work before the replacement. I just replaced the glass, not the actual LCD

Then you probably used too much force to get the glass back on.
