My S60 is about 3 Months old Not only do I have a charging problem but also a phone heating up problem. Even at idle my phone battery gets hot then with little 2min use the phone shuts of and sometimes won't turn back on for a while. It even does this when I boot the phone in safe mode.. I can't believe how slow doogee replies, 3 weeks just to get one reply and I'm not any close to them fixing the problem. What a useless company

I have the same issue with my S60. The only way to recharge it (reliably) is to turn off the phone and use cordless charger (Qi charger). But DO NOT recharge it overnight while you sleep, the phone gets REALLY hot at times. Better keep an eye on it.

I’m in Ontario Canada too, there’s no service center here. We are on our own. That’s why the phone is priced at that level. We paid a faction of the real S60 by Caterpillar. And I’ll NEVER buy another DooGee phone again….!

Oddly enough mine is charging again via cable and wirelessly. What did I do? Threatened it with being replaced by a new phone!! Crazy yeah, but it's fine now. One other thing I did, installed an app called 'accubattery' and that kind of helped resolve the problem by making sure i don't over charge the phone. Worth a try.

I have the same doogee problem..the company has closed down the I offices in the middle East.

I have had my S60 for over a year now and it is best phone i’ve had. Charges perfectly wirelessly or via cable. Definitely a great phone. You got issues then contact doogee, they are slow but will respond.

Hasta la vista baby!!!

Update (02/04/2019)

If you have a wireless charger try that. Mine stopped charging with cable so i used wireless for about 6 charges. After that i charged it via cable and adapter in my car, this worked and now i charge in house with normal cable and charger.

If you have trouble charging your s60 lite/s60 or it ceases to charge via micro USB cord, you must replace the usb board (firstly you have to open the phone, precision soldering is required, several different precision screwdrivers, or one with different bits including tiny torx bits, and a very good pair of needle nose pliers) I did the repair on my own after watching the one youtube video I found, and I changed the battery as well but the new charging board only lasted about 6 months. Otherwise, depending on where you get a board its about $16US without shipping costs. Also, if you're going to keep the phone for a while, I suggest getting a spare because the usb board replacements tend to expire rather quickly. I've not had any luck charging wirelessly to date. Good thing this isn't my only phone because every 6 months or so this seems to happen. Doogee customer service is trash in my opinion as well as the phone and I consider it to be a high cost paper weight being that it fails so frequently after new parts are installed, I definitely wasted my money trying to find a rugged phone to keep up with the aviation industry and that's to say the least.

It may be the charging circuit, I got a similar problem on my y100 plus and the technician said it was because of a problem in the circuit but I don't have any details about it.

Hi kadiriibrahimd,

If your smartphone is not charging properly anymore is due to the fact that the battery is thouroughly exausted of being charged whole the time. If you keep your smartphone charging while the battery is already fully charged it will have a negative influence on the battery life. This is usually the cause of a faulty battery. I suggest you buy another battery (2 or 3 ) and advisable would be a charge capacity of 4000 mAh.

Hope this might help

The majority of charging problems with S60 are related to the USB connector. Don't buy a replacement battery before you are 100% sure that connector and loader board are fine.

My honest opinion ....

Never buy any Doogee phones, after a while it does have flat charging problem, not from charger but from the phone.

If leave for days, it may automatically starts charging back.

I have shoot 1, and my wife also owned shoot 1, after a year the two phone started developing same issue.

Good side of doogee phones are actually numerous but this dead automatically anomaly can never be over emphasized.

I have the same problem. My Dogee S60 is not charging sometimes. After i push it in a angle it charges.

Still it takes a whole night to charge for 30%.

Also Bleutooth and Wifi stops working after i push it on (about 30 sec it stops the services)

I just have it for 2 months :(

My Doogee S60 mobile is damage by fall in water, Please tell me where is repair it. From India

Hello rosenboom,

Pretty sure that's the usb connector. It gets worse and worse. The trick with angle will not work forever. You can try other USB calbles maybe you find one that works for 1 month more.

But eventually you will have to replace the loader board.

Got same problems with my s60...i solved it temperately by using a wireless charging dock, till one day wireless charging stopped too...i bought 2 other wireless chargers to be sure, same no charging problem...i bought a new charging port(female) to change the old one inside the phone, i also put a permanent magnetic plug (i cut with razor a small piece of the usb cover -im not 100%sure that now is waterproof-so the cover can be pushed back , so i wont destroy the usb port again in every charging)...now its charging with this magnetic cable but slowly...my charger was old times showing 1,77 when s60 was charging...now only 0,75...next step is to change battery... waiting to arrive...after this, I'll change phone... lolxxxxx

Try charging it in your car. I occasionally do this and it charges fine. But, don't overcharge it, take it to around 88% and it should work fine.

Another thing I found is that the actual Doogee chargers break down, get something else that will charge up to 2 amps.

Seems the charging issue is something reoccurring. My wireless charching suddenly stopped working on my S70 Lite. Cable still works, i have my S70 for 3 months now.

I had the same issue. Probably an issue with the USB connector of the mobile phone.

I replaced the loading PCB with a new 7USD one.

Works perfectly except that the microphone doesn’t work in handsfree mode anymore.

For rework you need to solder the speaker from old PCB to new one. And you will need suitable sealing material, since the sealing of the original PCB can’t be removed.

It's the usb connector on the loader board. Try another loader board.

For the restarts: Try another brand phone.

Or try unofficial Android if you know how to flash it and if you can live w/o fingerprint and some of the other features that 'break' at a few S60 when going to Android 8 (that's why Android 8 roll out was stopped).

Hi there

I had the same problem and more.

My fix for the no charging issue via USB was to factory and then Master reset the phone!!!
