My charging port is damaged

Where can I find the frame for a fugoo xl? The charging port is broken and doesn't look like it can be replaced by it's self.

they glued a ribbon cable to the frame. cant be taken apart unfortunately, at least not without big modifications. anyone trying be careful the ribon cables are taped to the motherboard. And on the side where the the ribbon connects to the charging port and usb, the ribbon itself is glued to the frame theres not even a plug to remove once you remove the glue just the ribbon :/

I have the same problem. I took it apart, even cut away at the plastic to access it. now I need a port?

Same issue. was surprised to find the micro usb mb didn't have screws keeping it in place. note one of the external screws won't come out, so I had to use needle nose pliers to hold the socket to get the screw out.

I'm going to try to use a heat gun so I can remove it. will post the outcome

My charging port is loose, and has been since I bought the speaker. If someone comes up with a solution, I'd love to hear from you.

I have the same problem too. What I did was cut away at the thick plastic around the charging port with a soldering iron, then I removed the broken part of the charge port and soldered a wire to the +ve and -v e ends of the port and connected these externally to another port and charger which I took from an old device.

The space to solder was pretty tight , so I dropped some solder first then heated it up and 'inserted' my extender cable. Then I tested the leads for continuity to be sure i hadn't bridged the two poles.

Problem was then with the charging power rating. The Fugoo's adapter outputs 19V at 2.37A, the charger i had only did 12V at 2A; so I cut off the head from the 2 chargers and replaced the one at the end of the Fugoo charger. Not the most elegant solution but it got me my speaker back and i got to re-use old parts heading to the dump pit.

Resolder DC supply port(shame on you engineer of the soldering process design!)

Give some silicone on the ribbon cable and put it back to the case.

Good luck.
