Unitech Cassette Player Plays but No ff or Reverse

I recently picked up an old Unitech model Mini 1003AF. The thing plays, but sounds a bit distorted, and the Fast Forward and Reverse option only work if there is no cassette in the deck. I also hear a clicking sound from inside the player during playback. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I have a bad feeling the motor is going bad. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with it?

Wondering if you may have a "stretched" belt that is not gripping properly when under load.
