iPhone 7 Plus Front Camera and Sensor Cabled Broken

Hello.

I am working on an iPhone 7 Plus screen and LCD replacement. I accident broke the front camera and sensor cable in the process of putting new screen on, the one that connects between the front and back assembly.

The phone won't power on. Is this where is receives power? Is this why it won't turn on?

If so, what do I need to buy and replace to get the screen to turn back on.

I have attached some photos to show what I'm talking about in case my lingo is incorrect lol.

I appreciate all your help in advance.

Thanks guys that worked! But now I'm facing another problem. I got the phone on but the home button doesn't seem to be responsive. It also seems stiff. I'm not sure if the screws matter or maybe it's just too tight? Any help?

I think you need a working front camera assembly plugged in for touch id to work.

I bought a new front camera flex and installed it and now it turns on. But it says press home to unlock. It seems as if the home button is non responsive.

For instance the phone is asleep and I hit the home button it won't wake up. But if I hit the power button it'll wake up.

Hey, there isent any photos here.

IPhone 7&7+ sometimes dosent start without homebutton or the front camera connected (broken=not connected) .

Did you test an hard reset? Power button and volume down button up to a minute, if you see the Apple logo the release the buttons.

Can you fix the photos?

It's the front camera ribbon that tore. The one that attaches by the power button. I've attached the photos now. Please help?

It's going to take like 5 minutes for the phone to boot up with front camera unplugged.

Remove the plate and unplugg the broken flex from the motherboard and test if it starts.

you will need a new front camera flex to replace it with.

As ben says it can take long time to start without the front camera unplugged
