How do I plug in black ZIF connectors?

Subject: https://prnt.sc/iae8ex

From this picture, we see that A is a normally ZIF connector. It has a lovely clamp which can be opened to release the cable. Super cool! But the B connectors are different. I find them difficult to reconnect. Especially the first B cable I've pointed at. It's super flexible and kinks when I try to insert it into the housing. The second B cable I looked at has a little notch which I can use to properly insert it back into position ( http://prntscr.com/iaedj9 ) (How it should look like when plugged in. This is in case I've confused you http://prntscr.com/iaebz7 ).

Any help? Any questions? This is the first time doing something like this by myself. Thanks for your time. I would appreciate any type of reply and direction.

There is a clamp. Should probably update this guide! http://prntscr.com/iaeyej

On the other side of the housing there is a flap. It didn't break when I flipped it. Read my reply to Ben in the comments for more information.

In the image you linked, the grey clip is missing from that Zif connector, if you were to put the cable inside without that clip which is missing, it wont let the ribbon cable touch the pins as the clip is not pushing the cable in place.

I was following the guide on this device. All images are from the teardown of this device from this website. And the image with the notches I drew is kinda wrong. It does have it but its a lot less pronounced than the 2nd B cable.

The guide said "Note that these ZIF connectors are held in place by friction and do not have locks -- lifting the flaps on these connectors will break them!".

On the other side of the housing there is a flap. It didn't break when I flipped it. I just booted my system up and it works. The connector is like any other one, it will let go when flipped up, and clamp it down, making contact when flipped down, not "bReAk" them. If anything, this guide is super misleading.

You are right, it should say prying the flaps off instead.
