Screen: Glass LCD or both?

So I've been researching how to replace my Samsung Galaxy S8 glass/lcd. How do I know if it's just the glass or if I replace the glass, I have to replace the lcd as well? I survived 3 years of my Samsung Galaxy S6 without damage, and a little over a year with my S8, I dropped it from the seat of my truck to the ground (Incipio case and Zagg Sapphire Defense screen protector on) and it splintered from the lower left corner. Imma crying

the LCd and the glass are fused. Unless you have the right equipment to separate those parts and have the right machine to re-adhere them into one assembly, replace the complete assembly. Use this guide Remplacement de l'écran du Samsung Galaxy S8 for the work and the part is available right here [produit lié absent ou désactivé : IF355-001]

Depends on what you can and cannot do. Removing the Glass itself is really tricky and requires some special tools and experience. If you're willing to try a DIY replace the entire LCD.

Doing this phone'sdisplay is rather tedious, especially if it's your first time. Check in with a local repair shop and see what it's going to cost you.

You may also want to check if that tempered glass you got has some type of warranty on there. I've noticed some companies are trying to stand by their product if their tempered glass fails to protect your screen.

good luck
