Is is possible to restore or retrieve accidentally deleted pictures

The young lady at the metro pcs store was suppose to be transferring my pictures and files to the new phone but somehow ended up losing my pictures which were all on the hard drive of the previous phone and my music that was on the SD card. Please someone tell me that there is a way or somewhere I can take my phone for my pictures to be restored /retrieved!! I had over 2000 pictures with my family, my grandbabies and everything that I really would hate to just be gone like that. Please advise.
