Caps lock and wifi light blinking constantly.

Caps lock and wifi light are blinking constantly. No access to the computer. Yesterday I wrapped up the computer in a towel and left it in the sun (80+ F) for several hours. The computer started working - the first time in a few years. But today it stopped working. The caps lock and wifi are blinking constantly.

The problem description got posted prematurely - my fault. I forgot to mention that this problem (Caps lock light comes on and doesn't disappear, WiFi light comes on, the computer's bootup process stops, the computer doesn't start) occurs on a laptop (HP Pavilion dv7). Since posting the problem description I've had some luck starting the computer. I simply wrapped up computer in a couple of towels and let the computer run and get hot - plus it was a hot day and let the computer cook in the sun a few hours. When I removed the towels, the computer started and completed the boot-up process and I was able to work with it. Later on original problem reoccurred - the computer wouldn't boot up, the Caps lock light stayed, etc. So I repeated the process keeping the computer wrapped up several hours. When I removed the towels - the computer was very hot to the touch!!!! - the computer booted up and I could work with it. I don't know where I learned this method and I don't know why heating seems to solve the problem. Maybe there is a weak/faulty connection somewhere and heating effects a resoldering. I don't know. If you do, let me know.

well now i recommend you to disarm the laptop and perform a full maintenance to the motherboard, if is too dirty may be the cause of the problem, get a vacuum cleaner and blow the air on the m/b tray to get the m/b alone in the sun for a few hours or a heat lamp it will get any humidity out, if the problem persist let me know, good luck
