Screen won't turn on after replacement, computer is running.
I have just plugged a screen replacement for the microsoft surface, and though the fan is running and the computer is definitely on, the screen won’t so much as even light up. My old screen was doing this before removal, but it had been cracked for some time.
Is it possible something is blown on my motherboard? I may have forgotten to remove the battery connector before removing the initial cracked screen.
I’ve also considered that it may just be a fried ribbon cable.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Update (08/20/2018)
The bridging pieces are still there for sure. I had read something about the driver possibly being messed up when the computer gets turned on without the screen attached. I definitely turned my computer on after removing the screen initially to see if it was still operational.

So that's all anyone has for me? Seriously? Just the one answer that gets regurgitated regardless of the problem?
