The phone was dropped and cracked the front screen. I can get a red light when it charges, and sometimes a blue light will appear but it looks like its pulsing very slowly. Apart from that it will not boot up at all.
Checked the battery with a multimeter and its seems fine, also the charging port sees to be doing its job OK.

hi, yes you can, however to remove the chance of another part causing the issue you will need another device that is the same. Once you have done this, follow the replace screen guide until step 14 ( Remplacement de l'écran du Samsung Galaxy S6 )
then disconnect the screen ribbon, using the test display cable ( Galaxy S6 Edge/S6 Edge+/S7 Edge/Note5 Test Cable for Display Assembly ) check if the display works.

Ahh, what a great idea. Now i just need to find another phone, its a shame it cannot be tested on its own...... Thank you so much for your help, this is such a great site :-)
no problem at all, If the screen wornt turn on then you will need another phone to test if the screen is dead, either thatr or a super cheap test screen from Ebay
