Hi @needsfixing ,
It tests the drain pump but it is also a good indicator of where the problem is or may be.
When testing the drain pump with an Ohmmeter, disconnect the power to the dishwasher and then disconnect the wiring to the drain pump motor terminals and measure directly across the pump terminals.
If the drain pump tests OK, i.e. has continuity when tested with an Ohmmeter and assuming that the wiring from the control board to the pump is OK then the problem is most likely with the control board as it switches on the power to the drain pump.
(You could always check if you can identify the wire going from the control board to the drain pump and use the Ohmmeter to test between the control board connector and the drain pump wiring connector to ensure that there is continuity of the wire as well, which if it also tests OK, would place the problem in the control board).
If the drain pump tests faulty, i.e. has no continuity when tested with an Ohmmeter, then obviously it will have to be replaced and the dishwasher tested to ensure that it was the only cause of the problem, as it may be two faults, the drain pump and the control board.
If the drain pump motor jammed for example, and excessive current then flowed through the motor windings this could have burnt out the pump windings and also have damaged the relevant section on the control board. Hopefully just a fuse. Not sure with your model but on some dishwasher control boards there are onboard fuses in the wash pump and drain pump motor circuits.
Just something to be aware of when testing after having replaced an obviously faulty pump and it still doesn’t work.

H @needsfixing ,
Have you tested the drain pump with an Ohmmeter to check if it is OK and not open circuit? Do this with the power disconnected.

Does that test the drain pump or the control board?
