SSD for a dual hard drive (max size)

I have already replaced my main drive with a Seagate 2TB FireCuda Gaming SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive) - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch and OWC In-Line Digital Thermal Sensor HDD Upgrade Cable for iMac 2011 about a year ago.

I just purchased the dual hard drive kit and want to add a SSD behind the optical drive.  Here are my questions:

What is the max size SSD can I add?

Do I need to purchase the OWC In-Line Digital Thermal Sensor HDD Upgrade Cable for iMac 2011 to add to the SSD?

Is there anything I am forgetting?

I’m already replacing the power supply and only want to open it up one more time if possible.

Here’s a link to a dual drive upgrade kit from iFixit. It has all you need to install that dual drive for a good price. Here’s how you set it up.

The maximum you can go with the dual drive (this is the setup my robotics team has on their identical iMac) is 2 TB.

Yes I already purchased the dual kit and a 2TB SSD but what about the in-line temperature kit?

You should be fine without it. I'll double check my robotic team's setup tomorrow when I am in the building.

Not needed here in a dual drive config. Only needed if you swapped out the HD.

FYI - There are even bigger SSD's 4, 8 and even 30 TB!

The very largest presently is 100 TB but I'm sure that would set you back Nimbus Data launches world's largest SSD with 100 terabyte capacity

100 Terabytes?!? What are you doing with your life?!?

The Pope needed it ;-} EMC Provides 2.8 Petabytes to Store Digitized Versions of Rare Sacred Texts When I was working for IBM they sold the Vatican 1 petabyte of storage I.B.M. to Help Vatican Open Its Archives to the Computing Masses.
