Small black thing on MacBook motherboard NEC CN7
Hello, while using my MacBook the other day it started crackling and smoke came out of the keyboard. Everything seems to be working with the exception of the wifi. I figured the wifi antenna fried. However when I opened it up to investigate there is a small black capacitor or diode that fried on the main board. It has NEC CN7 on it. Where can I buy this? I am having a hard time trying to find out what this is.

Can you give us some background on what happened.
How about posting a good clear image on the burnt component and the area its located and post it here for us to see Ajout d'images à une question existante
If you can I would recommend you first try to get Apple to service this under warranty before attempting to fix this your self.

Well I was using the Macbook to surf the web when she decided to start sending up smoke signals. It is about a year and a half old. I did not buy the extended warranty. I also do not have an Apple store I can just run to as I live in Guam.
This is probably my last Apple product I will ever buy. $2000 and it didnt even make it 2 years. My old white macbook still works and its 11 years old. I was at one point Apples biggest fanboy but this and another issue with my iphone losing all cell service has left a terrible taste in my mouth.
