You don’t state the year of your model CR-V, but here’s a link that shows how to replace the Climate Control HVAC/Heater/AC light bulb for a 2003 CR-V EX that may be of some help.

Are you sure that if the air conditioner works, but the light does not go on, that is the problem?

Yes, because the technique is faulty and can cause other malfunctions.
