Replace iPhone 6s motherboard with iPhone se's

I've read everywhere that the iPhone se is basically a smaller version of the 6s, so if my motherboard is damaged (6s) is it possible to replace it with one from the iPhone se? I am aware there are size differences but are the parts the same?

No way, the two have in common the same processor and quite a big number of components, enough to have a similar performance and main characterics, but that’s all for similarities. Logic boards shapes are extremely different and not at all compatible..you could never fit an SE board into a 6s housing and viceversa.

I have a brand new iPhone se 3rd gen but for reasons that are best left u addressed or discussed I would like to install a working 6s motherboard and processor into the iPhone se 3rd gen. Is this possible? Thank you kindly in advance for not forcing me to state WHY I’m needing to do this, it is ridiculous but I however have promised to give my very best effort in completing this task but only of course IF the iPhone 6s motherboard’s sockets can mate perfectly with the brand new and activated iPhone SE 3rd gen’s other internal components ribbons/clips and also if there are no components with interchange coded restrictions etc…

Thank you kindly for any expert and professional or accurate information that you can offer.

Blessings to you.

no, and the 6s board is wayyyyy older(by about 8 whole years!) , meaning there's no way the connectors on the board are modern enough. and the fact that there is no interchangeable boards in between ANY iphone models, nor will there ever be i bet.

As @timtomissus has said, there's no chance of interchange. Every single phone Apple makes has the logic board custom designed for that specific model. Each new phone model is made to hold the components for that model, to fit in the space available and connect to all the peripherals included. So even on very close models like say the 5 and 5S, there's no changing between chassis.

Thank you guys and your answers will bring the conclusion to the thoughts of the matter.

I was pretty certain that this would be the case however I needed to reach out for some back up.

I am a computer/pc tech but I’ve not ever but done battery and screen replacements on iPhones.

Thanks again to you both for your help.

Best regards.
