Wonder if ipad 5 and 6 are the same ? If not why , didn’t think there was a way to improve the digitizer. So connections should be the same. The price of the 6 digitizer is unreal for some reason. Thanks for your comments in advance. Just bought a 6 that needs a screen replacement. Cheers !

Nope, they’re different. Connectors aren’t the same. Incompatible.

@refectio yup haha. I sorta gave up on iFixit awhile ago simply because I don't think there's much point in it. 19 out of 20 times they never even look at your answer let alone accept it so I just gave up, and I wasn't comfortable about how it was moderated. Now I surf the oceans of reddit (and other platforms too) looking for those in need of help. I still like to come here once every few days and see if anything's changed or if somebody tagged me.
I agree it can be frustrating but only if you look at it in a certain way. I believe most OP's look at the answer and are probably even pleased-to-impressed with good answers. Most don't bother to vote or select answers...that much is true.
However, think about how you consume information yourself. Do you make donations to every developer, do you personally thank every blog creator, or log into websites so you can vote when you find good info?
The reality is that most people, ourselves included, dont and that we've grown accustomed to consuming expert information for free. Back in the day ;>), when we had problems, there was pretty much nowhere to turn to get answers unless you went to the library. And that pales in comparison to what we have access to today.
So rather than focus on the OP's who don't give anything back, focus on all of the anonymous people who you've helped along the way. Besides, don't imagine the denizens of Reddit are any different or better ;>).

iPad 6 supports apple pencil, this is one improvement compared to iPad 5 on top of few other hardware upgrades.
As you can see from the pictures, iPad 5 and 6 use different digitizers (connector location is different)
