Can I downgrade from iOS5 to 4.3.3?

Hello,

I got a chance to use the iOS5, and what I wanted to know if I could downgrade to 4.3.3 after I'll use the iOS5.

I don't have my SHSH blobs and I'm asking if I could restore (downgrade) back to 4.3.3 using shift+click on the restore button on iTunes then clicking on my previous firmware.

It will be possible doing this?

Yes, since iOS5 isn't being released right now, iTunes will still restore 4.3.3 (This will change when iOS 5 goes public) You will need to put the device in DFU mode, and then select "Restore" in iTunes. Also, try and save your 4.3.3 SHSH while you still can. If your iPod is jailbroken, you can just use an app called "SHSHit" that you can download in Cydia.

What can I do with the SHSH blobs? How are they helping me?

Yuval? Hebrew name right?

SHS blobs helping you to downgrade your device to an earlier version than the newwest.

Let's say that now the official iOS version is 4.3.3, and you want to downgrade to 4.1.

You can do that only if you saved 4.1 SHSH blobs :)

Thanks for answer Shai! Yes, it's an Hebrew name!

Just wanted to ask, how can I use them (like what do I need to do, the process) to downgrade using my SHSH blobs? If you got video explaining how and showing it'll be the best!

In simple words, you can just simply locate to the folder where your ipsw file is saved (this is the file that iTunes downloads as an update for the device.) So when you open iTunes 10.5 (Cos that's the version you need for iOS 5 to get detected), just click on your iPod listed on the left, then in the Summary tab, click Shift + Restore and locate to the folder where your ipsw file is saved (Google is your friend, remember?) and then it restores your iTouch. :)
