Screen has gone black while installing BIOS for first time
Started to download BIOS for the first time off HP Desktop, it got as far as HP BIOS Update and it said it would restart laptop and I would see flashing but the laptop shut down then the screen went black and then nothing. The laptop light stayed on but nothing else, I left my laptop on all night, the screen stayed black

Does the machine boot if you press the power button? Is it charged?

Power button light stays but the screen stays black

You don't say which HP desktop computer model you have. That may help, you know.
Did you try Augustine's suggestion to restore the previous BIOS?
