MacBook Pro Early 2011 won't turn on.

So I have a Early 2011 Macbook Pro 13’ that won’t turn on.

Basically, when I press the power button, the usual chime that tells you the machine is starting doesn’t go off and the only thing that I can hear working is the spinning hard drive?

So I’ve opened the bottom case and confirmed that the fan doesn’t spin and the only thing that seems to be being powered is the hard drive.

The light on my Magsafe charger when plugged in is a solid green, the button I press on the side to check battery power has all the lights on green, so I don’t think it’s an issue of the battery not being charged.

I’ve tried a solution I read where you unplug the battery, hold the power button for 10 seconds and then plug it all back in. That was a no go.

So basically I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe it’s the logic/mother board that’s faulty?

Basically I’m here for confirmation on whether or not my deduction is right, any possible troubleshooting I can do and where to go from here?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Dead systems are always tricky to diagnose!

While the battery may appear good, given the systems age I’m sure it’s getting close to needing to be replaced.

Did you have a liquid spill at some point? Over time a spill can erupt into a bigger problem on the logic board.

I would make the effort taking it out and make a full inspection looking for any damage. Take the time to dust the board and the internal areas using a soft paint brush to scrub the surfaces and a can of can’ed air. Remplacement de la carte mère du MacBook Pro 13" Unibody début 2013
