I replaced the battery and it works, but the computer doesn't see it

New battery, working great, but the computer often shows 0% charge even when that’s clearly not the case.

Info from the application Battery Health 2 also yields strange results, usually showing accurate battery charge but displays battery health as 0.

What’s going on here?
