Repairing/Replacing parts in a Vizio TV.
I have a Vizio E550I-B2 TV that has recently started displaying a black screen but with audio. I read that it helps to check the connectors and connections between the different boards. I have already removed the back cover, but have absolutely no idea what I am looking at. Any help with what to do next would be greatly appreciated as I have little to no knowledge of the inner workings of electronics.

That sounds like a fun project. You could either try tracking down the problem with a multimeter and the schematics if they are available on google or you could start by replacing the power supply board which should cost around $80. If you can source the schematics and have a multimeter that would be the cheapest way out and a lot more fun.
