I have this same problem I unplugged it, held power button, let sit for ten minutes. Now when I turned it back on, the screen flashed once then went Black and the sounds still works.

Jacob Hanson BeRhap we’d need to know the exact model number for your TV. Since the screen flashes and you retain the sound this could be a backlight issue. Once it is ark and you have sound, shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out shapes etc. If so it’s your backlight. If not, then you need to remove the back from your TV and take a look at all the board. Start with the power board. you’ll need a multimeter to measure the voltages required by your TV. Post some good pictures of your boards with your question so that we can see what you see.
