Is there still pairing issues replacing the screen?

Got a customer after a Apple Watch 3 Cellular + GPS AMOLED replacement. Is it still the case that it breaks future pairing and apple pay or were these issues ever resolved with OEM screens and or watchOS 5 / iOS12?

You need to transfer the NFC module over to the new display. You can’t reprogram it.

Is there anywhere in the UK to buy that z-tape in the guide? Only place I can find is amazon but they only sell big rolls of it
