My printer says Paused Default how do I fix it

my printer says paused default . how do I fix it ?

Is it actually your printer itself that is giving this message? Or is it the software you are using to print stuff with? Or is it the Canon Printer Monitor displaying this information? Have you checked the Canon Printer Monitor (see how in your Owners Manual if not)? Have you checked your Device Manager to see if the unit is recognized and correct driver installed? What operating system are you running? Have you consulted the Owners Manual on how to reset your printer?
