It isn’t an overly easy job. You will have to remove or drop the lower control arm down and the ball joint will have to be pressed down and out with a shop press or borrow a ball joint press kit from an auto parts store.

There are tools you can borrow for free from Advance Auto and possibly AutoZone that give you the special sleeves and C clamp needed to manually press the old ball joint out and the new one in. Take extreme care during both removal and installation to ensure the ball joint is pressed out evenly followed by being pressed into the control arm evenly and flush. I’ve used the tool kit on my truck ball joints and it took every ounce of strength I had to turn the C clamp and press the ball joints out and back in.

It is recommended to have a service guide for almost any procedure to ensure you are applying the correct torque to the fasteners during installation.
