USB Adaptor for SSD -MacBook Pro 15 retina Mid 2014

Hi All

my Macbook is not turning on.I Have tried to reboot it by holding CTRL,SHIFT,Option power button.But nothing happens.

So before trying anything to take backup i have remove ssd from Mac.

But I am not sure to choose USB Adaptor so that I can connect to drive to another Mac and copy the data.

above adaptor bit costly for me, Is there any other simple adaptor available for cheap.

If yes can provide links plz.

Options

Any adapter marketed for a Macbook Pro/Air 12+16 pins will do, you maybe be able to find something cheaper for a casual use on bigger marketplaces like Amazon or eBay. Try disconnecting the battery of your Mac and plug in the Magsafe, it should boot on its own. If it doesn’t first thing to rule out is a possible failing charger, so either you can borrow an alternative Magsafe or you’ll need to test its power outlet with a multimeter. If it does, try a battery replacement.

Thanks for the link. I though I could get something less that $50.

So the cheapest around $80 :-)

Before removing the ssd I disconnected the battery and connected the charger but MAC still didn’t tun on and also tried with two charger before. So am not sure what to do further

@aasay OWC has used ones for about $58. They carry a warranty but you need to chat with them and get them to give you the link. After you have recovered your data, you can resell it on eBay and make $20.
