My HDMI tv ( Sharp) tv model # LC-42LB261U screen & flashin issues

My tv screen went dim as my son was playing his xbox and then starting flashing .. I checked the xbox on another tv and it works fine .. So i know its this tv i tried messing with the tv settings but it is impossible lol well taking forever for I can barly see the screen let alone it keeps flashing on n off so if i try to select something and it flashes i go to something else so I have to wait and select it real fast while on screen in which is just as difdicult . Is this fixable?? Or do i have to buy another tv .

Yes it does, it is still dim really dim and flashes without any device connected

@gingere123 what flashes? The screen from dark to bright?

Was this ever resolved? I have the same exact issue on the same Model. I don’t have anything connected to the HDMI ports

I think the problem is coming from the HDMI port, sending wrong information, clean it with a compressor air, if it doesn’t work then you might need to remove it from the motherboard, but I don’t guarantee anything you can wait for other answers.

@mayer Maybe some pins are shorted together or moisture mixed with dust, that's why I told you to clean up first.
