Galaxy S7 often gets hot and the battery discharges fairly quickly.

My Galaxy S7 gets hot and the battery discharges fairly quickly so I have to charge it multiple times during the day.  This doesn’t happen every day but it does quite often.  I’ve tried bouncing the phone and leaving it powered off until it cools down but that doesn’t seem to help.  Is there a fix and if need be, can the battery be replaced?
