MacBook will not stay on without holding down the power button.
Hi all.
I’m having a really weird issue with a MacBook. My brother left the laptop in the bathroom whilst showering and ever since that event (no water entered the Mac but possibly steam), the MacBook will not start properly.
MacBook makes starting noise and apple logo appears, login screen quickly shows but then shuts down. The only way to bypass this and keep the MacBook on is by holding down the power button. Once I let go, a power down window pops up and then then the MacBook shuts down immediately.
Is there any way to resolve this issue?

You can run it from a USB Thumb drive. Download it from another Mac and then transfer it over.
What is the MagSafe LED doing?

@danj Results attached and LED is amber

Well the good news is your charger is charging the battery, the bad news is your battery is long in the tooth and needs replacing soon.
