Opened device looks different!

Hi,

Pried the screen off and what I see is totally different from the picture in step 2.

It appears that I am looking at the backside of the battery.

The LCD is to the right, the left side shows the back side of the battery and the frame covering the battery.

I know the black frame should be at the back of the LCD but that was the only way I could pry this thing open.

Model is LG-VK810

I have added a pic of the back panel. It's different from the video you sent me.

@esebm totally possible but you need to know which guide you followed. Only you know where you started from. Post some pictures that show what you are looking at with your QUESTION. That way we can probably help you out further. Also, let us know what you are trying to fix. Ajout d'images à une question existante

Update (10/31/2019)

Looks like the black frame on the left should be on the back of your LCD on the right. What is the actual model number for your tablet?

I followed that guide: LG G Pad 8.3 4G Battery Replacement.

When I pry the display off I don't see the pic in step 2, just the plastic frame.

There must be a way to pry off the back panel in order to get to the battery.

It sound sto me that you got somewhere under the LCD and separated that (the LCD from the frame) one. the guide you described is the right one so that is not it. Again, pictures of what you are looking at would help us to help you.

Yes, I did separate the LCD from the frame, that's how I interpreted step 1 in the guide. The back panel can not be removed by moving the spudger around the perimeter. The back panel on my unit is about 1/2" indented top and bottom and does not go around the perimeter.

Any help here?

Sure looks like you used the wrong guide. Looks like you pulled the LCD of the motherboard. Take a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27azAfFh... around 1:19 you see your LCD and sure looks like what you are looking at on your picture. If your LCD is still connected etc., you can always try and repair it by following the video
