Is the PS4 disc drive IC replaceable?

It seems as though the IC on this unit might be the cause of an unresponsive disc drive. I know on the earlier models the IC is paired with the mainboard, those chips are located on a daughter board, the slim has them directly on the main board, however.

Does anybody have an experience with this, or any common issues that cause an unresponsive drive that isn't the IC?

All drive cables and connectors are in perfect condition, fuses are good, components surrounding the IC seem ok, drive is mechanically sound and in perfect alignment, the rear drive sensor is ok.
