Why is my phone acting on its own?

My younger nephew was playing with my phone and accidentally spilled some juice on it. I didn’t realize that he had spilled something on it until a bit later. It was working fine at first, but about an hour later my screen started acting crazy. I can’t really type without it pressing other letters, it doesn’t let me slide up to unlock my phone with face recognition, and when I call someone it will mute or hang up on its own. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

You might have to replace your screen or fix a fault on the logic board as it’s quite clear liquid reached inside and damaged the iPhone. Since it’s unknown how much and where liquid reached, it would be better to not use or charge the phone until it will be opened and damage assessed and repaired. As usual, the sooner you can take care of it the better it is, liquid damage can be very tricky and tends to get worse with time.
