homebuttoncover lost - consequences?
I lost the cover witch was on the connector of the homebutton while opening the screen, how important was that cover? The homebutton works fine.

The most important thing is that the metal bracket, if that’s what you’re referring to, is not “lost” inside the iPhone housing where it might short other components when moving about. Turn off the iPhone and shake it..if you hear it moving loose, reopen the phone and put it back in place. If it jumped outside the phone, not a big deal, it’s better if it’s in place, but you’re not the first nor you’ll be the last using a 5S or a SE without it.

Yes it’s s that little metal bracket and no it’s not lose inside the IPhone it just jumped out when I opened the iPhone because I used to much force and the homebuttoncable just pulled it out.
@Coolius Yeah, that bracket is a bit pesky as it's pressured in place, sometimes it happened to me too..now I keep the screen almost closed before releasing it. Not a big problem, once the connector is firmly in place it shouldn't move.
The problems could be large. There would be nothing holding the home button in place. Also, there could be permanent damage to the home button, connector, or your display. If the button breaks, you will never get Touch ID again. You should get a new cover. You can find them all over the internet.

That cover or (Bracket) will help to keep the connector connected and protects the fragile ribbon cable this will cause an issue later down the road depending on how you care for the device.
