Hi, I have a Moto G7 1962-1 I dropped and broke the screen. I bought two different screens on Amazon but after installing they stay black. The phone itself works, as it rings the flashlight turns on when shaking it etc. But both new screens don't turn on. I've tried everything I can find. Please give me an idea of what else I need to try .

I had similar issues replacing broken screen on Moto G7 XT1962-1.
In my case I didn't have all the cables attached.
First it wouldn't display anything. The connection from battery was loose.
Then I found the screen connector wasn't all the way down.
Then it displayed for 30 seconds or so and then shut off.
Turns out there is a little connector wire about 1/4 to 1/3 down the right side of the motherboard that I didn't see and the wire was under the Mobo.
Once I brought it from underneath and connected it, every thing works.
Except the screen I an using is a little too small, and I am looking for a genuine Moto G7 screen, because the one I got from EBAY and another from AMAZON are both too small.
They fit, but there are gaps an the top and bottom and sides.

Hmm I just took my phone to crackers to get the screen fixed.I could see glue under my phone case .I waited a couple days and pulled the case off. There was a huge gap . I took it back and she told me Motorola has 3 different size screens in the G7 depending on what country are you live on . She said it was a real Motorola phone screen .I then asked her why it didn't say Motorola on the screen then . She said Motorola doesn't always put it on there screens . Is this true? Original screen has Motorola, new factory Motorola screen doesn't?
