Bottom part of display doesn't response after it dropped (iPhone XS)

Hello,

today i dropped my iPhone XS and since then i can’t swipe to unlock my phone. Everything else works fine and it’s optically not damaged at all but my phone doesn’t response at the bottom 1/8 of the screen (exactly the height of the fixed 4 app icons ).

I’ve made a soft reset (vol up, down, on/off) but it doesn’t helped.

As i’ve somehow managed to activate AssitiveTouch as a software home button a the middle of the screen I can’t risk to reset the phone to factory default, as i think i’ve to swipe up to unlock the phone a the very first start. Or is there another way to do the first setup without swiping it up?

My question is now:

Did anyone experienced the same weird behavior after dropping the phone? Is it even possible that there is a hardware damage just at the bottom part of the screen?

@voidberg “Is it even possible that there is a hardware damage just at the bottom part of the screen? “yes it is and it is caused by a broken digitizer. Replacing the complete display assembly (not cheap) will most likely resolve this issue.Remplacement de l'écran de l'iPhone XS iPhone XS Screen
