Why is my 2003 EZ GO TXT not going fast?

I was getting beeping and stopping while driving and random beeping when the cart was parked and not in use. Would have to unhook battery to make it stop. While I was driving and the beeping would start the cart would stop if have to let off pedal and then accelerate again to make it go. Then it just quit working altogether. I replaced the solenoid and now it’s moving but slow.
