My 2000 z24 will start but die seconds after. HELP

When i bought my z24 it came with the stereo harness cut, so i tried to install a aftermarket stereo, when i turned it on the headlights would go dim. almost to the point of not working at all. I removed the stereo, capped all the wires. Now it wont stay running. it will start but then die seconds after.
