My 1991 Isuzu truck has rough low idle on cold start then high idle

My 1991 Isuzu truck has low idle on cold start then it will move to high idle. Even if you punch the gas it won’t slow the idle. There is an O2 sensor light on. Sometimes, in warmer weather it will start and idle correctly but on most all cold mornings the idle is high. Once you get a mile or two down the road it will sometimes correct. Sometimes not. Lol. Ghost choke problems.

@jakew3 the symptoms you describe are consistent with bad O2 sensors. I would suggest to get the OBD scanned to see which code it will give you and thus tell you which sensor it may be. We would need to know that code as well as your Isuzu’s exact engine size to assist you further with this once you know what the code is.

Places like Autozone etc. offer some free scanning.
