1 Home button - stock in the home screen
Hello everyone,
after changing the Battery, the home button seems not working anymore,.. “
Now the phone it’s stock in the screen like the photo.
Any idea how to resolve.. and let the phone loads and i can put a assistive touch

i've just replaced the battery on mine too with the fixit kit, after restart my home button has stopped working too, but it allows me into the phone and use as normal with the software function. Did you visually inspect all the ribbon cables for damage? How did you open the case of your phone, via hairdryer heat method to loosen the screen glue?

Hi Phil, I opened with Hairdryer, and gently lift the screen.
After 20 tests, like change screen, change home Botton, replacing parts, I decided to give to someone for testing.. and they found that the cable inside the screen had a little crack, so they fix it, (not sure how), and now all works, cost me, 70 euro (with new battery included).

@pagana hi, thanks for your reply. I was really careful opening mine up and was thinking that perhaps the hairdryer heat may have damaged the button sensor?, although I was careful not to overheat it.
Perhaps my cable has sustained some damage too, idk.
Where did you take the phone, was it a normal shop or Apple Dealer?

I took the phone in 2 different places:
first one: they said that the phone was gone, and no chance to fix.
second one: just checked , and find out about the cable... and fixed.
No apple dealer...
