Replacement problem with Surface Pro 4

Hi guys, first of all sorry for my englsh.

I’ve a really strange problem with my Surface Pro 4 that i bough 8 months ago from a private seller. The warranty ended last December and of course I dropped it in January but the screen was ok, even the touchscreen, everything seems to work. The problem was the creation of some white shrouds on it. I asked for a reparation to a shop near to me and after a week they said that there was a strange problem.

They said that (removing the original microsoft screen) on my tablet it was installed a Surface Pro 5 screen (exactly 1796 screen) and not the usual screen of the Pro 4. They don’t know how is that possible but they assure me that the tablet wasn’t open in the past, it’s exactly the original microsoft screen.

So, at this point, they said that the only way to adjust the tablet was to replace the screen with the one of the Pro 5 and they asked me a higher price compared to the replacement of the Pro 4 screen.

Now my queston is, for you it’s possible a situation like that? And if so, there is a way to contact the Microsoft assistance for let them know abot this strange problem?

Thanks in advance and sory again for my english.
