The 2011 MBP is known to have GPU problems, which is likely what you are seeing here. However, a 2012 board can be installed in lieu of scrapping the machine, providing you can get a good deal on one that’s nearly identical spec wise or a major bump (Ex: i5->i7). However, it may not boot without reinstalling the OS if you upgrade it too far, so bear that in mind. That said, MacOS is pretty forgiving about it unlike Windows.
You may also need to update the OS to get the current EFI updates, so I would try and save it for one or two final boots to make a backup (if possible, you may be able to bake the MLB to get the data off but this IS NOT REPAIR - it is a RECOVERY TECHNIQUE when all else fails). If you change the computer out, make sure you replace the HD cable while you’re in there - ESPECIALLY if you buy a 2012 15” to replace it. It doesn’t add much cost and it puts the all too common cable issue to bed when you will eventually want to replace the original drive with an SSD.

More then likely, it’s going to be easier to get a 2012 machine and migrate the hard drive. Just be prepared to pay since these are prized machines unlike the 13” which comes and goes like it’s a dime a dozen - the HR AG machines are even more prized then the common base glossy ones so if you want that screen, you’re paying a good $1-200 more for it.

so is there any way to test if there is gpu problem 100% ? Cuz as i know there is possible to upgrade bios to disconect second gpu. U can make it by connecting the chip or just taking some wiring on board. But i just dont know how could i check if its gpu. I do get green light of charger but no fan spin or etc. was looking to board as well nothing bad on it as i can see without microscope.

@gbevardis If you have a no power condition, it may be too far gone. The problem is the 2011 board has a 100% death rate and there are no good parts to fix them - if the GPU dies, put a 2012 in or replace it. Don't buy them but if someone gives you a dead one I wouldn't hesitate to put a 2012 board in if the price was right - especially if it was the AG version.

I am migrating this to Answers, so if you do not see it check there. This is a repair question.

Unplug the battery and mag-safe. Press and hold the power on button for 10 seconds. Reconnect the battery and then the mag-safe. You should get a spontaneous reboot. If you do have the GPU issue, DosDude has offered a couple of fixes:

here’s a discussion of the issue:
