Backlight not working after battery replacement

I replaced my battery following the IFIXIT guide. After re-assembling everything, I can’t get the screen to come on. The screen worked fine before I replaced the battery.

After booting up, I can see the desktop if I shine a flashlight through the Apple logo on the back of the screen. I can plug the machine into an external monitor and everything works.

I looked around for backlight tutorials. I checked the display cable and socket. Nothing looks burned or shorted, it’s very clean.

I connected a multimeter to the LCD fuse and it read 12 volts on both ends.

Can anyone think of anything else I could try?
