Why is iPad Air (A1474) screen unresponsive

My iPad was run over by a car 2 months ago but ended up slightly dented and needed a new LCD screen. I just replaced the LCD screen and kept the original digitizer and it was working just fine for about a day. It randomly just stopped being responsive to touch.

The home button stopped working as well, so I replaced the digitizer with a new one (purchased from RepairPartsUSA) only for the touch to still be unresponsive but home button works.

I then went back replaced the new digitizer with the original to see if it made a difference and the home button worked again just fine but still no touch response.

I made sure all cables were properly connected and lined up correctly. I even did a hard reset/restore and update and still nothing.

Should I try a new digitizer just incase the two I have are just faulty or should I chop it up to being another issue?

Check around where the connectors are you could have knocked off a component.

As mentioned by @tech_ni above, check that there aren’t any missing components by the connectors. Usually devices can encounter heavy damage, especially when run over by vehicles. You could try another digitizer, I recommend Mobile Sentrix, but odds are the board suffered damage which might be repairable. Check your local repair shops if they specialize in microsoldering.

Checked again and didnt't see any missing components. I had an otterbox case on it, but I'm not sure if that would've helped protect against internal damage - the visible damage was light denting along the top right corner so the screen was lifting along the right side. The touch response went out when I was pressing along that area to get the screen to adhere, so maybe that is a sign that there is damage to the board
