RAM with speed 800 MHz
Why dont you offer 2GB or 4GB RAM chips with 800 MHz speed?
For example my Penryn has 800 MHz bus speed.

This isn't a repair question, but here is an answer anyways. As far as I know, the MacBook Pro Penryn and the MacBook Pro Santa Rosa both only have 667 MHz bus speed, so the 800 MHz RAM could be installed on your laptop, but you would not see any performance improvement. Hope that helps!

I'm sorry about that is not repair question again. But are you sure that Penryn cant be with 800 MHz bus speed.
I have bought my MAC on April in 2008 and it is A1260.
I can't put there the print screan with my System information, but below is what there is:
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2,4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP41.00C1.B00
SMC Version (system): 1.27f2
...
To clarify, there is a difference between your machine's bus speed, and the RAM's speed. your Penryn MBP 15" does indeed have a system bus of 800 MHz, but it only takes 667 MHz RAM (which is the PC2-5300). I'll be honest and say I'm not sure why, but I can tell you that the only RAM configuration for your machine is hte PC2-5300.
Thank for clarifying Ben.
