Panasonic Tx-40cx400b Red light blinks 10 times when switching on
The TV light flashes 10 times when switching on using the power button on the television itself. The red light then goes off after ten flashes. On around the 7th flash the screen flickers once then remains black. There is sound coming through however.
I took the back off and couldn't see any obvious signs of overheating. See attached for pictures of the inside.

Ella-Jane Bartlett .... looks like you have the back off...kudos. do you have a multimeter? id like to see if you can take readings on the connector leading to your led's. it sounds like there may be a burnt led stopping the backlights from coming on. you can unplug the led connector from the main board, and take a ohm reading between positive and negative leads of the led connector. if they werent burnt out, they will be the same reading across all arrays. please list your results here. also, id like to ensure that the readings on the power supply are what they are listed at in the legend printed on the board and steady to rule out the power supply. also, if you can take a flashlight to your screen in a dark setting, you should be able to see an image on the screen. being that you have sound leads me to believe that is indeed the leds, or and led circuit related issue but want to ensure the voltages are there.
please list the voltages at the connector leading to the leds, and the connector leading to the main board. please give the pin, pin label, and reading info. post back here for any further assistance if needed.
