The door of my cassette player won't open and keeps clicking...

I have a JVC DR-E51L Cassette deck from quite a while back and was playing a tape in door B, which is auto-reversing. I pressed fast forward when the tape was close to the end, meaning instead to pause it, and it started to make a clicking noise. I pressed the stop button to try and get the tape out but the door is stuck closed. Every once in a while the tape tries to reverse itself but gets stuck in a loop of clicking then trying to play in the other direction.

I have looked online for the manual but cannot find it anywhere.
