You need adhesive for the battery and for the glass cover.

If you don't replace the adhesive, it will come loose. Remember not to wet the terminal after opening it.

Gradually heat the glass lid and use a card or some plastic object to open it. Look at the tutorial to see what you can damage if you insert the tool a lot.

I agree with Alexander. You can pick up a replacement glass panel (includes adhesive) here at iFixIt for $16.99.

I can’t find the rear adhesive kit, which would include all of the adhesives related to the rear panel. There is one available for the S9, but not the S9+. As long as you are careful in removing the rear cover, and follow the steps to disconnect the cables serving the camera and fingerprint sensor, you should be OK with just the adhesive. There are other sites that offer the adhesive, I’d just search for Galaxy S9+ Rear Glass Panel Adhesive.

In the spirit of transparency, and since this is my first answer (haven’t been blasted for providing external links) - I recommend Amazon for this part. You can find a good kit here. It includes a back cover, preinstalled lens cover (w/ adhesive) and adhesive preinstalled for the fingerprint sensor. I don’t see these on iFixit, so I don’t feel terrible about sending you out into the wild for the search for parts.
